Descriptions & Codes

Following is a list of codes that appear after the title of every book listed.  These codes will help describe the general content and size of these publications.


TPB (Trade Paperback) - These titles average 6½  inches by 10¼ inches in size (i.e. – comic book size).  The majority of these titles reprint story and art from other sources, usually comic books.

   

TPB-P (Pocket Trade Paperback) - These titles average 5 inches x 7 inches in size (also called manga trade paperback size).  The majority of these titles reprint story and art from other sources, usually comic books.

 

GN (Graphic Novel) – These titles average 8¼ inches by 10¾ inches in size (i.e. – magazine size). The majority of these titles consist of original story and art done specifically for this format.

 

PB (Paperback) – These titles average 6 inches x 9 inches in size.  They consist mostly of the printed word, with very little art.

 

MMPB (Mass Market Paperback) - These titles average 4 inches x 7 inches in size (i.e. normal paperback book size).  They consist mostly of the printed word, with very little art.

 

(Oversized) – Any code followed by “(oversized)” will usually be of the same content as that code, but will be much larger in size than normal.

 

(Undersized) – Any code followed by “(undersized)" will usually be of the same content as that code, but will be much smaller in size than normal.

 

(Hardcover) – Any code followed by “(hardcover)” is a hardcover version of the normal title, i.e. – the front and back covers of the book are of a very sturdy stock, and cannot be bent.
